I know, I can't believe it's already Christmas time. And to think I was still trying to work on getting my beach body ready for the summer (crap I'll have to make it into more of a resort season body instead - damn you HoneyBaked ham and mashed potatoes!!)
Anyways, back to talking about the holiday season. It's finally here and there are LOTS of activities and things happening in San Francisco to celebrate this cheery time of year (and seriously, after all the crap that has happened around the world, it's nice to have a little bit of the cheesy holiday celebrations surround us to put a little smile on our faces, am I right?)
So to get you in the holiday mood, I recommend you visit the new holiday pop-up bar created by the same owner of Chubby Noodle: Deck The Halls in North Beach. It's silly, it's fun, it's like that scene in the movie Elf when Buddy travels from the North Pole to NYC. Basically, it's awesome.
Here is the press release about the new space:
I spent the preview evening trying delicious holiday inspired cocktails and my favorites were the following (I don't remember the exact names! Sorry!):
- The Snow Globe - it was refreshing & light. I think it had rum, coconut water, and shaved coconut "snow".
- Gingerbread House - they serve the cocktail in an actual Gingerbread house.
- Coffee Cocktail - I forget the name of it, but it's decadent and great for a cold night.
If you're in town, it's definitely worth making the trip over for a drink or two or three :P to get into the holiday spirit.
