While I am figuring out a way to make this site into a full-time business, I have a 9-5 job at Visa in Foster City, which is great because I enjoy what I do and I meet interesting people all the time.
Now, I consider myself lucky in the sense that we have a pretty good cafeteria here and to top that off, every Wednesday, we have a farmer's market near the entrance of the cafe and we are able to buy fresh fruits, veggies and other delightful treats.
I went spinning this morning, so I was in a healthy sort of mood and decided I wanted to get some fresh fruit juice from Ima Tropical Colada.
I had four drinks to choose from, but I'm such a sucker for Pina Coladas in general, I decided to try the Ginger Colada because it was as close to my favorite vacation drink.
To those who know me, yes I'm kind of allergic to pineapples and no I didn't have a crazy reaction to it. I'm safe :)
I didn't get to talk to her much since it was a busy lunch hour, but she did let me know the next time she's at Visa, she'll have her business cards ready to go, so hopefully I'll be able to learn more about why she started her juice shop.
But, from our short conversation, she let me know that she is currently just going around local farmer's markets here in the bay area, including our own mini one at Visa! I did some sleuthing on social media and saw that she's also at the Ashby Flea Market too.
I'll definitely be back for another round of juice next week!
