How I’m Coping With Quarantine

SHELTER-IN-PLACE IMPACT ON YOU

Hi. How are you doing? I know many of you feel the same way I do at times during this quarantine, which is what is the concept of time at this point, right?

The minutes, days, and hours just seem to blend into a single time continuum and it feels like we just play out the same script day after day. These kinds of experiences CAN lead to thoughts of sadness, stress, anxiety, and depression.

Not great, I know. I’ve heard my friends share with me the emotional rollercoasters that they face every day, especially those in total isolation. After day 75 of April 2020, being a problem-solver by nature, I started thinking of what I do and have done in the past to deal with extremely stressful situations

QUARANZEN

So, I came up with creating this mini-series called “QuaranZen” (Quarantine + Zen - I know not super clever, but whatever) where I’m going to share activities I do and have learned from others to help me destress, unwind, and stay calm and carry on.

Now, these are meant to just be suggestions, and if you aren’t looking for any tips or advice and would rather do nothing to cope - that is ALL GOOD.
